Automation for New Energy CCS Soldering and Conformal Coating

For CCS (integrated busbar) assemblies in new energy battery packs and for energy storage modules, the soldering and insulation treatment stages have high precision and consistency requirements. These processes were traditionally performed manually or on semi-automatic equipment, but as capacity expands and product variants multiply, automation becomes the natural choice.

Typical processes

· Laser soldering or hot-bar soldering of FPC to busbars and nickel sheets;
· Conformal coating and curing of CCS assemblies;
· Screw fastening and assembly of the assembly to its bracket.

Solution composition

1. Soldering: a vertical dual-station vision soldering machine uses CCD positioning to compensate the solder joint position, supports multi-stage temperature profiles and solder volume control, and suits workpieces with dense solder points such as FPC pads and connector pins.
2. Coating: a selective conformal coating machine with X/Y/Z servo drive avoids non-coated areas such as connectors to achieve selective spraying. Single-pass coating width of 2-15 mm is adjustable according to the valve, and dot, line and curve coating paths are supported.
3. Fastening: desktop or in-line automatic screw machines support vacuum-pick and blow feeding, with settable and traceable torque.
4. Conveying and curing: transfer conveyors, infrared curing ovens and automatic module drying lines form a continuous production line.
