Industrial Robot Output Up 28.5% as Demand for Precision Assembly Equipment Keeps Rising

Date: 2026-09-19       Views: 7

In the first half of 2026, China's industrial robot output grew by 28.5% year on year, while humanoid robot shipments exceeded 40,000 units and rose to 97% of the global total. The rapid growth of the robot industry is driving continued demand for upstream precision assembly equipment.

From following to defining applications

Industry analysts point out that a vast industrial system and rich application scenarios provide large amounts of real data for technology iteration, creating a positive cycle in which the more frequently the technology is used, the more intelligent and more valuable it becomes. China has moved from following overseas technology roadmaps to a new stage of defining applications on its own terms.

At the same time, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology stressed at a recent meeting that it will pursue intelligent, green and integrated development, implement the artificial intelligence plus manufacturing initiative, accelerate the development of next-generation intelligent manufacturing, and carry out a new round of action for high-quality development of key manufacturing industry chains.

Robot adoption is pulling automation into the assembly stage

As robot shipments rise, automation supporting the end-of-arm processes and the assembly stage has become a new growth point. Take screw fastening: in 3C electronics, automotive electronics and new energy battery modules, the number of screws is large, takt times are tight and torque consistency requirements are strict, which places higher demands on the feeding stability, positioning accuracy and data traceability of automatic screw machines.

Industry data shows that intelligent assembly equipment with vision positioning, closed-loop torque control, automatic detection of stripped threads and missed screws, and production data upload is gradually becoming standard equipment on mid-to-high-end production lines.

Honred Technology: an assembly partner for the robot era

Honred Technology's automatic screw machines cover desktop, vertical multi-axis, in-line and handheld types, and can be integrated with industrial robots, SCARA and collaborative robots. Repeat positioning accuracy reaches ±0.02 mm, fastening takt is as fast as 0.5 s per screw, and torque accuracy is controlled within ±3%.

Drawing on the technical accumulation of a source manufacturer in feeding systems, servo control and vision positioning, Honred provides non-standard customised solutions for robot integrators and end manufacturers, supports sample testing and process validation, and helps production lines achieve high-takt, high-consistency automatic fastening.
